Carma was born in Raleigh, Noth Carolina, in 1974. She received her B.A. in psychology in 1996 and her J.D. in 1999 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During law school she served as Chapter Justice of Phi Alpha Delta and also was admitted as a member and contributor to the prestigious International Law Journal. She is admitted to practice in North Carolina.
Carma specializes in nursing home abuse and neglect and personal injury cases, including auto accidents and wrongful death. From her own personal experiences in dealing with relatives in nursing homes, She has extensive knowledge with the problems and frustrations families have in dealing with long-term care facilities. She devotes much of her professional time investigating and evaluating the quality of care given to nursing home residents.
