E-mail Address: dhenson@lawmed.com

David Henson was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, in 1973 and is a son of founding partner, Thomas W. Henson Sr. He received his B.A. with academic distinction in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995 and his J.D. in 1998 from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

From 1991 to 1996, David worked as a certified emergency medical technician and, as such, was a first responder to many types of accidents causing catastrophic injuries. Before becoming an attorney, David saw firsthand how injuries caused by the negligence of others could dramatically change peoples' lives. This is one reason he decided to become a personal injury attorney.

David is the managing partner of the injury and disability sections of the firm. Primarily, he handles serious injury cases involving tractor-trailers and catastrophic injuries; however, he also handles auto accident, personal injury, wrongful death, and Social Security Disability cases. He has extensive experience handling cases involving the Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, which provides quality assurance and safety regulations for tractor-trailers. In addition, he also manages the mass torts section of the firm, which handles cases involving defective products, drug recalls, insurance fraud, and financial securities fraud.

In 2007, David received the Order of Service from the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers. The award is given to members for generous contributions of service in advancing the Academy's mission of protecting people's rights.
