Robert Greenberg

Bob is a 1970 Graduate of The American University in Washington, DC, and received his Juris Doctorate in 1973 from Rutgers University in his hometown of Camden NJ. After law school, he was selected to serve a Clerkship with the Hon. Norman Heine of the New Jersey Superior Court. Over the course of that year, Bob watched and learned from not only his Judge and other Judges in the Courthouse, but also from every trial lawyer in the County, both Civil and Criminal.

He then served as an Assistant County Prosecutor, handling matters from investigation and Grand Jury all the way to trial, including everything from juvenile offenses to homicides. Bob also formed the first Child Abuse Prevention Unit in the County, which included teaching every emergency room Doctor and Nurse in the County their legal reporting obligations.

After that experience and up until he came to live in North Carolina and became admitted to the NC Bar, he worked in private practice for several firms, small and large, and for 12 years had his own firm. Bob has tried hundreds of cases to juries, Mediators and Arbitrators. This experience earned him the opportunity to sit for exams and become New Jersey Supreme Court Board Certified in both Civil and Criminal Trial Law, a distinction held by a very few select attorneys.

For the last 20 years, Bob has focused his attention to representing victims of nursing home neglect and abuse, medical malpractice and serious personal injury.

Bob and his Author and Writing Teacher wife Dina, who are parents of two daughters and grandparents of two young girls, began a love affair with North Carolina over 20 years ago when their younger daughter signed up for a horseback riding camp in the western mountains. For the next 12 years, they hiked and traveled all over the state, especially enjoying the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Highlands, Asheville and the surrounding areas of great beauty. Having spent many summers while growing up at the New Jersey Shore, they were finally drawn to Wilmington and the Southeast of the state, and Dina was accepted into the Creative Writing Program at UNCW, where she completed a Masters of Fine Arts. They are thrilled to have made their home here.

Bob is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the American Association for Justice, the New Jersey Association for Justice, and their Political Action Committees, advocating for the rights of victims of negligence in the Courts. He has lectured on many topics including court procedures and ethics. He is also a volunteer for the Wilmington Northside Food Coop in formation and for the Cape Fear River Watch.

Bob & Dina are very active and enjoy the gym, and power walking on the River Walk and the beach. He has been a cyclist for over 40 years, participating in many long distance charity rides, and tours through Vermont, Maine, Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is busy exploring the bike trails and safe roadways in Wilmington.
