A 1992 study published by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) found that women who regularly used talcum powder in their genital area had a “significantly elevated” risk of developing ovarian cancer.

August 2017 – A Los Angeles jury ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay $417 million to a woman suffering from ovarian cancer linked to the use of baby powder.
May 2017 , a Missouri jury awarded $110 million to a Virginia woman.
October 2016, a third jury in Saint Louis awarded more than $70 million in damages to a 62-year-old California women. The women claimed her diagnosis to ovarian cancer was a result to her regular use of Johnson & Johnson talcum powder.
May 2016 – A second jury in St. Louis also awarded $55 million in damages to a South Dakota woman that was diagnosed with ovarian cancer after using Johnson & Johnson talcum powder.
February 2016 – A jury in St. Louis ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay $72 million in damages to the family of a women who died of ovarian cancer caused by regular talc use.
These verdicts have compelled an additional 1,200 women to come forward to seek damages against Johnson & Johnson.
