Project U-3621A
Type: Road Widening
Affected County: Nash
In 2016, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) began the acquisition of properties along Hunter Hill Road to complete the final phase of a road widening project in Nash County. The project, also referred to as U-3621A, will stretch from North Winstead Avenue to Country Club Road.
Construction is slated to begin in 2018 and end in 2020 with a cost of approximately $6 million. When complete, Hunter Hill Road—currently a two-lane roadway—will be a median-divided, multi-lane highway.
