NC 24 (US 421 – Cecil Odie)

Section E of this North Carolina Department of Transportation project will widen NC 24 from Southeast Blvd (BUS 701) to Cecil Odie Rd), with widening and interchange improvements at Hwy 701 and Sunset Ave.  In this phase there are approximately 80 affected property owners, some of whom will be displaced and will require relocation.  Earlier sections of the project have been under construction since 2013.  The NC DOT has set aside more than $7 million dollars for property acquisition.

Right of way acquisition begins 2018, Construction begins as design-build 2020.
