Attorney Anne Duvoisin Elected Interim Bar President of North Carolina's 24th District

Henson Fuerst Land Condemnation Partner Anne Duvoisin was elected Interim Bar President of North Carolina’s 24th District on June 2, 2016 in a special election. The district encompasses five counties in western North Carolina – Avery, Madison, Mitchell, Yancey and Watauga. Fisher runs Henson Fuerst’s western North Carolina office and also serves as the Leader of our Land Law Division.

Attorney Fisher hopes to revitalize the District Bar by introducing new initiatives such as CLE and pro bono programs to its members. These programs will be designed to benefit the District’s membership and the communities its members serve. Fisher successfully undertook similar projects when serving as Watauga County Bar President and hopes to import lessons from those successes into her role as District Bar President.

Her first priority is to revise the District’s bylaws with the aid of an Executive Committee which was also selected at the special meeting. The District bylaws have not been updated since 1996.

On behalf of all Henson Fuerst attorneys and staff, we congratulate attorney and partner Anne Duvoisin on her new, very important elected position.
