Route 540 southern path is one step closer to completion today. According to an article in the News & Observer, the Federal Highway Administration has approved an environmental impact study and evaluation of possible routes.
Although the study hasn’t yet been publicly released, the DOT says that the study does not eliminate any of the possible route alternatives. The statement will offer a comparison of all the routes, including the Orange and Red routes.
