It is extremely important for Worker’s Comp claimants to give detailed and accurate descriptions of their pain and problems to their doctors. Often times an individual will give their lawyer, friend, or family member just such information. However, when they go to the doctor, they get a case of “white coat syndrome”. When the doctor asks them how they’re doing, they say “fine”. The medical records are the main piece of evidence that any claimant has. When the medical records are being used to obtain certain benefits, they read that the patient is “fine”. When in reality an individual is suffering terribly. This creates a very difficult situation for the claimant and can greatly hinder a claimant’s chances at success.
Always Give Detailed and Accurate Descriptions
