Get your sneakers on and your bike ready! The Capital Area Ride for Safety (CARS) will be held on September 25th at 7:30 am, and we want you to join the Henson Fuerst Cycling Team at this exciting event!
The CARS Charity Ride brings together the residents of the Piedmont Triad community for a fun, relaxed ride while promoting bicycle safety and demonstrating proper bicycle etiquette. The bike ride will be held at a comfortable, controlled pace of 14-15 mph, encouraging families to participate with their little ones, as well as novice and seasoned cyclists.
This charity event was created to bring awareness to the Piedmont Triad community of the increased amount of bicycle and pedestrian accidents in the past year. The CARS event intends to promote positive relationships between motorists and cyclists through constructive dialogue and gestures, as well as increase knowledge of bicycle and pedestrian laws.
