Over the past several months, an estimated 17 million vehicles were recalled after it was discovered they were equipped with defective airbags manufactured by Japan-based company, Takata Corp. Earlier this week, the company stated they were doubling the number of vehicles recalled due to the faulty parts to approximately 34 million cars, trucks, and SUVs.

The New York Times reports that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration believes it may take several more days to compile a list.
