Heartbreaking Car Wrecks

In the past few days, there have been several serious automobile accidents in North Carolina. Two of the most recent have been particularly heartbreaking.

Two nights ago, four freshman students from North Carolina Wesleyan College were killed near the entrance to the school’s campus in Rocky Mount, NC. As part of the Rocky Mount community, we are personally devastated by the loss of these young lives. So much promise lost in a single car wreck. The driver of the other car involved is hurt and still recovering at UNC Nash Hospital. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of all those affected by this crash. And yesterday afternoon, a high school teacher lost her life when her car was crushed between two trucks, including the dump truck that struck her from behind. The loss of life in a car wreck is always tragic, and the teacher’s family will never be the same. But her death will also have an effect on hundreds of students whose lives she might have changed had she continued teaching. (http://wncn.com/2016/03/22/at-least-1-dead-in-wake-forest-multi-vehicle-accident/)

We’ve said this before, in so many different blog, but these words seem to have so much more significance now:
