Project U-5606
Project Type: Roadway Improvements
Affected County: Pitt
Dickinson Ave in Greenville, NC will be the site of a new roadway improvement project, and many local landowners could be impacted.
Project U-5606 will affect a nearly 2 mile stretch of Dickinson Avenue (S.R. 1598) from Memorial Drive (N.C. 11) to Reade Circle (S.R. 1610). The City of Greenville and the NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will be repairing drainage systems, repaving the roadway and improving pedestrian and bicycle accommodations.
While the stated goal of this project is to make Dickinson Avenue a more safe and accessible stretch of road, local property owners could be facing land condemnation in conjunction with this project.
