Is Injury Really on the Decline

There have been recent studies demonstrating the decline in non-fatal work injuries.  However, those studies are being called in to question.  Some of the sample sizes for particular industries have been found to be inadequately small.  In addition, there is at least speculation that the reason for decline in injury, is the overall decline in the number of worker’s in a down economy. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/statement-by-us-labor-departments-osha-assistant-secretary-regarding-data-on-occupational-injuries-illnesses-requiring-days-away-from-work-in-2009-106984888.html
