The Allen Road Widening project is a 2.3 mile improvement project that will widen Allen road from a two-lane to four-lane divided roadway from Stantonsburg Road to Dickinson Avenue. The project will feature a twenty-three foot median, five foot bike lanes on both sides of the road, curb and gutter and ten foot berms. The project is anticipated to cost $25.4 million. Property acquisition will start with Right of Way Agents in 2018, and construction will start in 2021.
