Henson Fuerst’s David Henson Discusses Diversity and Bias in NC Panel

On March 17th, Henson Fuerst Partner David Henson was a featured panelist on the “Good Guys” CLE presentation “Connecting the Dots: Delving into the Other Side of White Male Privilege: What White Men Lose in Gender, Racial, and Other Forms of Bias”. The presentation, hosted by Attorney Sheryl Axelrod and the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys (NCAWA), focused on diversity and gender and racial bias.

The GOOD Guys Program™ was created by the National Conference of Women’s Bar Associations in an effort to take the message to the masses and engage all attorneys—men and women alike—to be one of the “GOOD Guys” in the fight for gender equity.

The panel, moderated by Attorney Janet Ward Black, centered on male attorney experiences in promoting and empowering female lawyers into the highest levels of the legal world, with the legislature, the executive branch, the courts, private practice, public service, and legal professional associations.

The distinguished panel was comprised of Attorney David Henson, North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein, North Carolina Court of Appeals Judge Chris Dillon, and Former NC Representative Lee Zachary.

Good Guys took place virtually via Zoom and in person at Campbell Law School in Raleigh.
